Jeankiel and Kenton Scott of Scarborough Tobago was charged with house breaking and larceny following an incident earlier this year in April.

The following is a press release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service on the incident.

“A 34 year old Labourer and a 24 year old PH Driver, both of Castries Scarborough, appeared before the Scarborough Magistrate Virtual Court Wednesday 28th July 2021 having being charged for the offence of House Breaking and Larceny.

Jeankiel Scott and Kenton were arrested subsequently charged on Tuesday 27th July 2021 in relation to the incident which occurred between Monday 26th April 2021 and Thursday 22nd July 2021.

It is alleged that around 5:30am on April 26th 2021, the victim who resides in the same apartment building with both Jeankiel and Kenton Scott secured her dwelling house by locking all doors and windows and went away, she returned to her apartment around 12:37pm on Thursday 22ndJuly 2021 and observed her apartment door open, the apartment ransacked and a quantity of clothing, household, electronics and toiletries valued over $20,000.00 missing.

The incident was later reported to the Scarborough Police Station.

Investigations were conducted by a team of officers who searched both Jeankiel and Kenton Scott’s home and found items belonging to the victim.

Both were granted bail in the sum of $75,000.00 with a cash alternative of $8000.00 with conditions, that they are to report to the Scarborough Police Station every Saturday between 6am and 6pm, also to stay fifty feet away from the victim and have no contact with her.

They are to reappear at the Court on Tuesday 24thAugust 2021. Wpc Chapman of the Scarborough Police Station laid the charge.”
