Kayron Aziz, 24, aka “JJ”, of Esperanza Village, California, and Karlon Wickham, 34, aka “Blood” of River Branch Road, Kelly Village, Caroni, were jointly charged with the following offences, possession of firearm, possession of ammunition, possession of firearm to endanger life, possession of ammunition to endanger life, wounding with intent and four counts of shooting with intent.
The two men were denied bail and remanded into custody when they appeared before Magistrate Adrian Darmanie at the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court on January 13th. They are expected to reappear in court on February 10th.
According to police reports, on January 9th four men were outside their home when they had an altercation with three male assailants who were carrying firearms. The assailants then allegedly shot at the four men.
One of the four men received gunshot injuries to his both legs and was taken to a medical facility for treatment.
Investigations were conducted by the Central Division Task Force (CDTF), Central Division Gang Unit, Cunupia Criminal Investigations Department, Chaguanas Criminal Investigations Department and officers of the Caroni Police station. As a result, two men were arrested and subsequently charged by PC Bernard of the Caroni Police Station on Wednesday 12th January.
