The enquiries were headed by Supt (Ag) George, ASP Nowbutt, and supervised by Inspector Andrews, and Sgt Miller of the unit.

In the first instance, a 47-year-old builder of Laventille was charged with one count of sexual penetration of a minor.

He was denied bail when he appeared in court on May 22 and remanded into custody until June 8.

He will appear before a Scarborough Magistrate.
