Two men, one dressed only in his underwear, broke into the home of a Tableland woman during the early hours of yesterday morning (Thursday December 2nd).  Fortunately, her screams scared them off before they could steal anything or harm her.

Police subsequently arrested the men and reportedly found a dildo in the possession of one of them.

The 64-year-old housewife reported to police that around 9:40 pm on Wednesday, she secured her home by locking all doors and windows and went to bed.  However, around 3:30 am, she was jolted from her sleep by a noise in her bedroom.

The woman told the police she saw two men in her bedroom—one of whom she recognized as her neighbour, while the other man lives in the community. Her neighbour reportedly was wearing an off-white-coloured underwear, while the other man wore a dark coloured jacket with a hoodie.

The woman raised an alarm and both men ran away.

Police believe the men entered her home by prising open a window.

Police conducted inquires and later arrested the men. A sex enhancement toy reportedly was found in the possession of the suspect who was wearing the hoodie.

Both suspects were taken into custody and brought to the Tableland Police Station. The victim identified both men who were later charged by PC DeBoulet with burglary.

The men are expected to appear virtually before a Princes Town magistrate.
