The number of COVID-19 cases in the country jumped to the 10th highest since the pandemic began in March last year as 151 positive cases were reported by the Ministry of Health.

Two more deaths were also recorded, bringing the overall count so far to 161.

In its regular daily update, the ministry revealed the new positive cases brought the total active positive cases to 1,505.

Meanwhile, the country could be recording another COVID milestone before the week is over as the total positive cases recorded since March 12, 2020, nears 10,000.

That figure as of yesterday stood at 9,947.
