Two men have been committed to stand trial for murdering a cosmetologist and wounding her boyfriend in 2019.

Brandon “Rambo” Harry, 25, and 32-year-old Terrance “Shotta Boy” Joseph, both of Carenage, were committed to stand trial at the end of their preliminary inquiry before Chief Magistrate Maria Busby-Earle-Caddle on Thursday.

The indictments against both men will now have to be filed in the High Court before their case joins the long list of cases awaiting trial.

Harry and Joseph are accused of murdering 24-year-old Justine Davis and wounding her boyfriend Gervais Jackman during an incident on July 14, 2019.

According to reports, around 7.30 pm on the day, a group of men armed with machine guns broke into the couple’s apartment in Carenage and shot them several times.

Davis, a make-up artist, died at the scene, while Jackman, who was allegedly the target of the attack, survived after being shot in his upper chest and abdomen.

The duo was charged following investigations by Cpl Denoon of the Carenage Police Station and Insp Reyes of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations.
