Unidentified man found dead in PoS

An unidentified man was found dead in Port-of-Spain on Monday afternoon.

According to a police report, at about 4:45 pm a team of police officers was on mobile patrol on Maraval Road, Port of Spain when they received a call from Central Police Station about information received from the Command Centre, that a body was seen lying motionless and decomposed in a building opposite Victoria Park, Port-of-Spain.

The officers responded and on arrival at Victoria Park Suites, occupants of the suite directed them to the second floor to Penco Reyes Holistic office, where they observed the body of a man motionless and decomposed.

The man, police said, was of mixed descent, dark in complexion, short hair, clad in a blue long sleeve shirt, a plaid coloured three-quarter pants, black sneakers and black socks.

The body was found slumped on a chair.

The District Medical Officer visited the scene and ordered that the body be removed for an autopsy at the Forensic Science Centre.
