Unilever Caribbean appoints new managing director

Jean-Marc Mouttet has been appointed the managing director of Unilever Caribbean Limited.

Mouttet replaced John De Silva in the post effective last Friday, according to a notice of the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange.

“Mr Mouttet joined UCL in September 2019 as national sales manager and has led the transformation of the sales function, while delivering excellent results, reflected in the company’s performance year-to-date,” the announcement stated.

Mouttet holds a BSc in marketing and has over 30 years experience in general management and commercial management with multinational and regional Fast Moving Consumer Goods Companies.

“He has worked in Trinidad, Malta and the Dominican Republic, leading businesses and growing global brands with a broad Caribbean presence,” it stated.

UCL also announced the appointment of Mani Maraj as its sales manager.

“Mr Maraj is currently UCL’s territories Sales manager and will maintain responsibility for this function in addition to responsibility for leading the national sales team,” it stated.

Maraj joined UCL in 2009 and has over 11 years experience in various finance and commercial roles.
