Vaccination site at NAPA for business community from Monday

The T&T Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the American Chamber of Commerce T&T will be operating a vaccination site for the business community starting on Monday.

The site will be located the the National Academy for the Performing Arts in Port-of-Spain.

The T&T Coalition of Services Industries will be collaborating to execute the initiative.

“We have adopted this vaccination site to ensure that members of the business community can get access to vaccines.

“This is essential to restarting the economy safely as soon as possible,” a joint letter to the business community stated.

Interested parties will be able to book their appointments from Sunday.

“As you can imagine this is no small operation. We are undertaking the initiative as we believe that we have a responsibility to do our part in the effort to vaccinate the country and to ensure that businesses and their employees have access to vaccines,” it stated.

The Government is providing the vaccines and the vaccinators at no cost, it stated.

“However the private sector will be covering all costs related to operationalisation, site management, administration of 200 staff/volunteers, meals or refreshments, requisite equipment which includes refrigerators, tents, generators, sanitation stations, garbage disposals etc,” it stated.

The site is expected to functional for 60 days.
