Charlatans are attempting to pedal over-inflated—and even downright fake—vaccines to the Government.
The revelation came from Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley during a Ministry of Health virtual press conference on Monday, as he responded to claims about the government’s perceived failure to acquire COVID-19 vaccines.
He indicated that some of these people were inflating the price of doses well over 1,000 per cent.
Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, said these people are being reported to local agents of manufacturers who would then treat with the matter themselves.
Both the Prime Minister and Minister of Health gave assurances that only vaccines approved by the World Health Organisation (WHO) would be administered to the public.
