Virtual Wellness offers free online health services to St Vincent nationals.

Virtual Wellness, a free online health and wellness website for patient services in the Caricom territories and the diaspora, is offering all Vincentians, including those who have been displaced from the island, free online access to its doctors and other health professionals.

Virtual Wellness said in a statement that during an emergency meeting held on Saturday with the Virtual Wellness medical team after the volcanic eruptions of La Soufriere in St Vincent, it was unanimously decided that more doctors will be added online to assist residents, especially those who have been displaced, with their health and wellness needs.

Virtual Wellness was started during the mid-2020’s as a free online patient services website to provide access and continuity of care to persons, including seniors, the vulnerable and those who had lost their jobs, as a result of the COVID pandemic.

It said the Trinidad & Tobago Association of Retired Persons (TTARP), the Diabetes Association of Trinidad & Tobago (DATT), the Trinidad & Tobago Association of Nutritionists & Dietitians (TTANDi) and the Trinidad & Tobago Association of Psychologists (TTAP), including many other NGOs, have partnered with Virtual Wellness.

Virtual Wellness said this initiative aims to support the health and wellness needs of residents of Trinidad & Tobago, and by extension the Caricom region and the diaspora, who have been affected by the COVID pandemic.

It said to date, over 2,500 patients have received quality care on the Virtual Wellness website.

Vincentians, who have been displaced, can access the free live chat and health tracker services by visiting the secure and private HIPAA-compliant website on www.virtualwellnesstt.com on any device.

Media Director of Virtual Wellness David Douglas, is requesting that Caricom residents with devices and internet assist the Vincentians with getting on to the Virtual Wellness website.

Founder and Medical Advisor Dr Navi Muradali has also appealed to the affected Vincentians who are diabetic, hypertensive or those with heart disease, to access the Health Tracker feature so the doctors can recommend immediate steps in ensuring proper medical management of those conditions.

Doctors or healthcare professionals who wish to volunteer can go to the Contact Us section of the website and complete the simple form.
