Two Vistabella residents—a 48-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman—were arrested after police found an illegal firearm in their premises during an anti-crime exercise, yesterday evening.

The couple was arrested by officers of the Southern Division Task Force (SDTF) at their Ninth Street, Vistabella home on Saturday 10th October, 2020.

Official police reports are that during the hours of 1 pm and 8 pm, intelligence obtained led SDTF officers to the house in which the item was found.

Police immediately detained the couple in connection with the find. The weapon also was seized.
