The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers from Curepe to Tunapuna, served by the Valsayn High Lift Station, who are currently experiencing an interruption in their water supply that repair works on 12-inch diameter pipeline, along Narine Trace, Curepe were completed as planned.
However, another section of the aged pipeline started leaking when the supply was restored at 12:00 noon on Wednesday 8th April, 2020.
As such, the supply was again interrupted to permit repair of this latest leak. The additional repair works are expected to be completed by 8:00pm on Wednesday 8th April, 2020.
Areas affected include: From Riverside Road, Curepe, to El Dorado Road, Tunapuna, inclusive of the following: • Gordon Street • Santa Margarita • Mohammed Trace • Ragbir Hill • Warren Street • Warner Street • Mc Carthy Street • St. John’s Road • St. Augustine north of the PBR • Tunapuna north of the PBR
Customers are further advised that, it may take up to 12 hours for the pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas following completion of repairs.
