WASA customers in Port of Spain and environs who are currently without a pipe-borne water supply, should see some relief by tomorrow, Saturday 29 August 2020.

An advisory from the Water and Sewerage Authority explains that the service interruption is due to a defective 18-inch valve in the vicinity of Lady Young Road and Maritime Roundabout, Barataria.

WASA says emergency repair works currently are underway.  Those repairs should be completed by 8:00 am on Saturday.

Affected areas include:

■ East Dry River         ■ Cascade       ■ Morvant        ■ St. Anns       ■ Barataria        
■ St. James     ■ Old St. Joseph Road           ■ Woodbrook      ■ Picton          
■ Port of Spain           ■ Belmont        ■ Parts of West Moorings       ■ St. Barbs

WASA customers are reminded that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas, in accordance with pipe borne water supply schedules.
