Residents in parts of South East Trinidad served by the Navet Water Treatment Plant who are experiencing an interruption in their pipe borne water supply today, Thursday 16th July 2020, can expect relief later tonight, and into tomorrow.
According to an advisory from the Water and Sewerage Authority, the supply disruption, which began at 8:00 am, should end at 8:00 pm.
WASA explains that the disruption is necessary in order to facilitate emergency repair works to a ruptured 32-inch diameter transmission pipeline, located at St. John’s Road, Piparo.
However, WASA customers are reminded that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas, in accordance with pipe borne water supply schedules.
Areas to be affected include:
New Grant, Hardbargain, Craignish Village, Matilda, St. Julien, Indian Walk, Hindustan, St. Mary’s Village, Cunjal, Cumuto, Whiteland, Poonah, Piparo, Morne Roche, Princes Town, Manahambre, Iere Village, Sisters Road, Buen Intento, Malgretoute, Williamsville, Barrack pore, Bronte, Borde Narve, Ste. Madeline, Friendship, Penal Rock Road, Diamond Village, Golconda, Esperance and Retrench.
