A broken transmission pipeline is the reason why parts of Carapichaima are without water, today, and the Water and Sewerage Authority is hoping to have that situation rectified by tonight.
An advisory from the Authority explains that emergency repairs are ongoing at a ruptured 21-inch diameter transmission pipeline, located along Roopsingh Road, Korea Village, Carapichaima. WASA says these repairs should be completed by 8:00 pm, on Friday 30th April 2021.
WASA has ensured that a limited truck borne service will be available upon request.
Areas affected by the interruption in their pipe borne water supply include: Roopsingh Development, Wyaby Village, Korea Village, Joyce Road, Chandanagore, Limehead Road, Derrick Road and Orange Valley.
WASA customers are reminded that it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some areas after the completion of these emergency repair works.
For further information or assistance, customers can contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre, toll free, at 800-4420 and 800-4426.
