Services at the Work Permit Secretariat and the Citizenship and Residency Unit at Temple Court 2, on Abercromby Street, Port of Spain, will remain suspended to the general public until July 4th, following the recent extension of the current lockdown period in T&T, to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
An advisory from the Ministry of National Security notes that many of the services from these units are to be accessed online at this time.
The Ministry notes that queries to the Work Permit Secretariat will continue to be addressed via email to [email protected]. Persons applying for a Minister’s Permit will now have to submit their requests via Form 17A, which is accessible on the Ministry of National Security website, on the Applications/ Work Permit page, at https://nationalsecurity.gov.tt/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/Form-17AApplication-for-a-Ministers-Permit-Work-Permit-Secretariat.pdf. In addition, completed forms are to be submitted via a drop box located in the lobby of Temple Court 2.
The Ministry also advises that persons can continue to communicate via telephone with the Citizenship and Residency Unit to reschedule or make appointments, or have their queries addressed. The contact number is (868) 623-2441-5, Extensions 13033 or 13044, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Emails also can be sent to unit at [email protected].
Also suspended until July 4th are in-person appointments with the Trinidad and Tobago Immigration Division. The Ministry says general queries can be directed via email to [email protected], while passport-related queries can be sent to [email protected].
